Testimonials

I'll say I've noticed, in general, that the applicants and the people that we hire from Workamper.com specifically tend to be higher quality.  It's generally speaking, and I think that says a lot about your website and how you prepare Workampers to get their resumes together.

- Employer Kevin, Greenbrier River Campground

We update our resume after every position is finished, indicate the areas of the country we’re interested in for a season and then pretty much relax. There are so many more job listings here at Workamper.com. We can sort by region, instead of looking randomly through facebook pages. We get notifications when our resume has been viewed, and have been contacted regularly with opportunities around the country. We like the ease of it and look at it as an investment that frees up time for us to focus on other things.

- Workamper Kelly G.

[After Hotline ad was posted for 2 days] Hello Workamper News! We have had such a great turnout from our ad this time! Please cancel our ad, as more are coming in! We are so happy for your service and want to THANK everyone who helps makes your website special!

- Laurie, Skagit River Woods (20+ year Employer Member)

[Employer had Workampers that left 2 months before the end of the season. We suggested searching the resume database and running a Hotline ad.]  You are brilliant!  I have been able to fill the position at Clark’s with a lovely couple who I hope will fit right in.  I also have received several other emails from interested Workampers.  I truly thought it was too late to get anyone this quick. Thank you for suggesting this! Thank you for all your hard work and concern for us and Workampers in general.

- Employer Clark's Trading Post/Clarks Bears

This site has been a huge asset to my wife and myself. Lot of great information. Also employers look for you without having to inquire or apply once your resume is on the site.

- Workamper Aaron F.

To the staff at Workamper News, my wife and I just wanted to once again tell you how pleased with what we have been able to accomplish toward our dreams since joining back in early Spring of this year. As I had written to you before, after becoming a member and posting our resume, we were offered a position within a few days. During this season we have gained invaluable Workamper experience and knowledge that we have used to keep our resumes up to date. We quickly learned that it's never to early to start looking ahead to the next season or position available. As you advised, after sending a resume, we followed up with a call to the possible employer just to touch base and make sure they received it. By doing the follow-up call, we were given the chance to do a phone interview right away. After calling, we received an offer for a winter position for this year in a warmer climate, as well as a job already secured for the Spring/Summer/Fall 2024 season in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Both positions were possible because of keeping an eye on the Hotline Jobs postings each day and sending our resumes! Thank you again for the wonderful organization you have, and thank you again for being a part of our dream after retirement.

- Workampers Roger & Shelia M.

We've been paying members of workamper.com (Workamper News) off and on for a few years. However, I finally finished filling out our Workamper resumes/profile on their website (what took me so long? ). As a result, we have been inundated with calls and emails since I completed our profile 3 days ago. Not every employer out there advertises, but they definitely look at resumes. I know because I check daily and also receive Hotline Jobs email each day as well and employers who aren't on these listings are now reaching out to us. So, taking the time to fill out your resume is key to finding good Workamping jobs. And singles, YES! There are jobs out there for you, too! If anyone is questioning the value of paying for the annual membership, please know it is worth every single penny spent. And no, we were not paid to share this information. I know how tough it is to fill out applications and search daily and I want to make it easier for everyone.

- Workamper Michelle A.

We would definitely like to renew our Featured Employer website page ad. This ad has produced more applications than any other resource that we use, and I can’t thank you and your staff enough for your help designing it.

- Employer Find Outdoors

I will tell you - I've worked with volunteers from around the world since Hurricane Katrina - thousands and thousands of them. Some of my very favorites have always been folks traveling and staying in campers - their life and professional experience has proven invaluable over the years.

- Employer Laura P., lowernine.org

Thank you for doing such a wonderful job of helping most of us find, retain, and return to marvelous employers and adventures.  My husband and I began Workamping this year (2022).  We obtained our first two positions through Workamper News within the first week of searching.  We're half-way through our first position and have been asked to return next Fall!  We said, "Yes!"  This is fun!

Blessings,

- Workampers Peter & Luan M.

We have been using the Workamper Diamond membership level for over a year now. Has brought us to a wonderful little campground in NC. Owners are the best and a perfect location for us. After 2 days here, we asked if we could come back next season. If you're on the fence about joining, just try it. Better than posting your experience on some Facebook group.

- Workamper Misty H.

All these years after attending the 2012 Workamper Rendezvous I'm still learning and you're still helping! Time & money well spent!

- Workamper Hope F.

[June 2022 when new info fields and search capabilities were added to our Hotline system.]  I love the “new” format for your Workamper job listings!! Much easier to understand as to what is being offered by the employer. Kudos to you!!

- Workamper Mike R.

Thank you again for the wonderful opportunity to find such an amazing winter job. Private Chef at a private 100-year-old Duck Club in CA Delta. The season officially ends today and it was a blast.

- Workamper Kelley S.

The Workamper News resume builder helps you create a resume for Workamping positions. It is nothing like a professional business resume and has gotten us all our Workamper jobs. It's well worth joining for the step-by-step resume builder and the multiple daily Hotline Workamping job ads.

- Workamper Paula B.

I’ve let my membership expire because my husband and I have been so happy with our first Workamping job that we’re sticking with it indefinitely.

We owe it to Workamper News for finding the opportunity in one of your Hotline emails back in June 2020. We had been thinking of trying Workamping for a few years, and always read the job listings with great interest. When we saw a camp hosting job listing at Mulberry Mountain Lodging and Events in NW Arkansas we jumped on it.

We are so grateful for our good fortune with the owners of our campground, who are just wonderful to work for. It’s hard to imagine that we’ll ever want to try Workamping anywhere else, but we’ll renew our membership if it ever happens!

Thanks for all you do to help and support people like us who love the Workamping lifestyle.

Best wishes,

- Workamper Liza P.

Before I found y’all I knew NOTHING about RVs or Workamping. I just knew I wanted to buy one & travel and somehow have some income while I did so!  Through Workamper News I started learning RV & Workamping “A-Z”!

I basically spent my “COVID stay home & stay safe” year taking “online courses” within the library of my Workamper News Dashboard. Not only did it help my time of solitude pass by productively, I was learning the difference between a motorhome, travel trailer, 5th wheel; learning terms I’d never before knew of such as black tank, gray tank; learning things to consider & be aware of before I actually bought an RV; learning of the vast Workamping opportunities & locations available for REAL, rather than just an idea I had previously thought that was a figment of my imagination.

I soooo much appreciate Steve Anderson, his daughter Jody, and their team that does an amazing job to provide this incredible resource to us RV rookies!!  In June 2021, I attended & PASSED the basic RV tech course offered by the National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) in Texas, but even more importantly, I actually found that I did understand the new info I was taught & developed the CONFIDENCE to move forward with my dream to become a Workamper & grateful for the peace & safe environment God led me to in order to integrate back into society & face to face interaction with people.

God used Workamper News & the NRVTA to peacefully & joyfully transition me from solitude to once again living amongst others as He opened the door & led me to my first Workamping job at  “America’s Best Campground in Branson, MO”!

- New Workamper Deanna M.

Membership is well worth it as that's how I found jobs in the states I wanted to enjoy. Now I'm joining full time. Saves so much time, not only with new job posts, but so much helpful information as this is my first try at RV life. Thank you!

- Workamper Barbara H.

(After running a Situations Wanted ad seeking work...) Just wanted to say thanks for all you do. I have gotten all my placements from your publications.

- Workamper John D. [Member since 2018]

I was very impressed with (WKN Team Member) Jamie’s customer service this morning. I sent an email with an urgent request to change some verbiage in the ad she had posted for me over the weekend. She updated the wording and got back to me to confirm within minutes.

Thank you for the fantastic customer service! It goes far.

- Employer Jessica, Parks Management Company

We had a wonderful season, and we had the BEST Workampers. We worked hard and laughed a lot. Our clients have told us how friendly & helpful our staff is and how nice our park looks. With the help & ideas of our Workampers our resort has prospered. We sincerely thank them all!

- Employer Cottonwood Cove Guest Ranch

You guys are really great and I ‘sing your praises’ to all the full-timers, and future full-timers, we meet along the way!  Thanks so much for your speedy response to my concern and your positive response!

- Workampers Rick and Marsha M.

I just wanted to drop you a note and tell you how great this service is! My husband and I decided to join the RV life 2 years ago and in March 2021, actually did. We love it, but my husband was going crazy (he doesn't know what retired means). So, I set up our membership and created a resume (easy-peasy with your sample one) and sent it out. Within one day, we were contacted by an employer. We talked with him, did a video call, signed an agreement, and will start our first Workamping job on September 20th. It's for the winter and it is in beautiful Eureka Springs, AR. We are excited and thankful (especially me--I have a hobby to keep me busy). Thank you and keep doing an awesome job!

- Workamper Linda L.

We love the full-time RV life. Tom and I have been full-time for about 15 months - sold everything and loving experiences and people we are meeting. It is truly full-time freedom! We live in a 2020 NEWMAR Dutchstar 4081 and tow a jeep gladiator. Tom and I are NRVTA certified and registered techs. We are truly blessed and grateful for the chance to experience this Nomad life! This really began with the Workamper Rendevous a few years ago when we realized that this life is possible! A quote that I just saw in Letchworth State Park brings this home: “Be happy for this moment, for this moment is your life.”

- Workampers Mickey & Tom R.

You guys are truly awesome, and your stellar customer service is a big part of the reason we love Workamper News. Thanks for everything!

- Workamper Wendy D-K.

Workamper News Magazine is interesting, thoughtful, energizing and thorough! I look forward to being entertained with each issue. You all obviously work very hard!

- Workamper Christine A.

We have retired and no longer need your services. However, I do want to thank you for your services. We landed some great jobs with your assistance and won't hesitate recommending you to other campers we encounter - folks that express a desire to Workamp.

- Workamper Mike S.

We are finally doing it! We found several jobs listed in the latest edition of the Workamper News magazine, submitted our Awesome Applicants Resume to two different jobs for next October, and BOTH offered interviews. We corresponded by email with the one, and really found out it wasn’t quite what we wanted (Corps of Engineers). The second one wanted a phone interview, we both participated and were offered the job. The manager was a former Workamper, and was really knowledgeable about what we were looking for. She wanted us to take a week to think it over. We did and then accepted the following week.

We are headed to our FIRST WORKAMPER JOB at the Tropic Star RV Resort, Pharr, TX for October-March! We’ve got plenty of time to adjust our packing and travel plans. We set up a monthly check in with the manager to keep us in the loop over the summer. We will be working with Activities!

Can’t say enough positives about the knowledge we gained at 2019 Rendezvous, and the online Awesome Applicants Resume Builder and ALL the tools you provide and the work you do! Please extend our thank yous to the entire Heber Springs crew! Thank you all!

- New Workampers Madonna and Ron W.

We used Workamper News services this year for the first time. We have usually struggled to find four hosts (singles or couples) using only our website and a couple of free websites. With Workamper.com, we were amazed! Nearly two dozen calls and emails the first two days, all great candidates. Now, two weeks into the process, we are finalizing applications for four hosts, two alternates and a half dozen we sadly had to say "thanks" and wish them well with finding their summer hosting sites. This was the BEST expenditure ever!! See you next year...

- Employer Randy, Horsethief Reservoir Campground

WOW! We finally pulled the trigger on joining Workamper News. We are not fulltime yet and wanted to experience camp hosting or part-time volunteering at a small RV park to get our feet wet. We live in Minnesota and wanted to stay close to home so we could still work on getting the house ready to sell. Amazingly, we built our resume the evening before allowing it to be viewed by employers the next morning. By noon we had 3 looks! By 4 PM we had an email from a golf course/RV park wanting to do a phone interview the next day. After looking up this place 3 hours from home and really liking what we found, we accepted the interview. It went fabulous and we have our first Workamper position close to home and 3 days on/6 days off, FHU, laundry, free golf course membership, pontoon use when available with the possibility for summer work for the next few years. Couldn't be more perfect. We had planned to travel winters and home for the summers to enjoy family. What a God send. Thank you Workamper News! First gig paid for membership and much, much more within two days of pulling the trigger to join!

- New Workampers Lynn & Keith N.

We thank you for the opportunities you have been sending our way from time to time on finding that dream job while Workamping. Since we started Workamping, and using the Workamper News website in 2019, we have found successful placements during our travels. We could not be more pleased on how things have played out for us during our Workamper experience. Meeting great people along the way, and new travels that bring new and exciting opportunities on our leisure times is very memorable for us. We shall always look upon our experiences as a tribute to our newly discovered lifestyle, and accrediting this to joining Workamper News. We thank you immensely for our successes during these times!

Gratefully yours,

- Workampers Emmett & Dawn B.

I am excited to see how Workamper News moves forward. My grandmother was one of the few who didn't think we were crazy when we decided to go full-time with 2 kids, 2 Great Danes, and a 20 year old RV. In fact, she was the one who recommended Workamper News. We immediately hopped online and said wow, with their help we really can do this!!  We LOVE what you all are doing, and we can't thank you enough for your help.

- Workampers Heather & Ron B.

Got my dream resort job from the Workamper Situations Wanted ad. Thanks Workamper News!!

- Workamper Kenny H.

I have been dreaming of living full-time in an RV, traveling the country and Workamping as I go. Well, the dream is happening! Even with COVID issues, I managed to learn all I could about RV living, and in the process, I became an NRVTA Registered RV Technician and an NRVIA Certified RV Inspector; starting my own small business. I just purchased my RV and will be living in it full-time by the end of this month! In May, I will travel to Keystone, South Dakota (by way of Colorado to see my kids) where I have a Workamping job at a hotel/campground right near Mt. Rushmore! I’ll be able to keep my own business going there too.

The Dreamers' Journey course was the start of my own journey and being in this group has given me so much encouragement! I want to encourage any of you who have dreams to chase them! I have no guarantee that things will be all sunshine and roses during my adventure, but I am willing to take that chance. I don’t want to wonder in 10 years what could have been if I didn’t at least try! I’m chasing my dreams!

“Every morning you have two choices: Continue to sleep with your dreams, or wake up and chase them”. ~ Unknown

- New Workamper Lynn H.

I was brand new and a solo when I joined Workamper News. They had a sale in December a few years back, and I joined and then put up a resume and a situation wanted ad in January. I had 8 calls in one week and I picked one that was one tank of gas away from where I was already staying. I had planned to keep moving each season, but the first gig was so good that I live here full time now. Anything you want is available to you, but you have to believe that before you can find it.
- Workamper JoDi E.

I recently signed up for Workamper News. I am so impressed with the website and all the people that have helped me. Your team is awesome!

- Workamper Darrell C.

In 2011, as “Dreamers,” Peg and I began reading the bi-monthly Workamper News Magazine trying to decide if this new thing we had heard about was the thing for us.  When we joined Workamper.com, we did so as a full member so as to receive the entire membership benefits.  In 2013, we filled out the Awesome Applicants Resume hoping that in the next several months an employer would find our resume of past experiences a fit for their RV park or campground.  On October 17, 2013, we disconnected the MH from utilities, hitched up up the dolly and drove the car on to it, and headed south. We received a phone call from a campground owner and accepted our first Workamper position.  On November 1, 2013, we became official Workampers and - for a little over 7 years - have never looked back.

During that seven year time frame, we relied on Workamper News to find a fit for our lives; experiences where we would be able to help the RV park or campground in some manor. We enjoyed meeting the owners and other Workampers along the way as well great friends in the many places we’ve been. At our last stop in 2020, we decided that for health reasons it was time to come off the road and take care of ourselves. We would recommend to anyone thinking about the Workamping lifestyle to give it a try, you won’t regret it. We didn’t.

Thank you, Workamper News.
- Workampers Joe and Peg C.

We’ve found all of our favorite gigs through Workamper News, but the one story I like to tell people is regarding our Awesome Applicants Resume.  Our online resume has landed us various “surprise” job offers over the years.  Rene once got a phone call out of the blue from a campground owner of various parks. He said you guys look great, I want you to come work with me, 2 days a week - you’d be my special projects team.  And it was one of those great jobs. We worked at an RV park but we didn’t do one of the “typical” RV park jobs. And it was because he found our resume at Workamper.com

- Workamper Jim N.

It’s been interesting watching the evolution of Workamping through the years and the number of people who know about it now.  There’s a lot of info out there about Workamping and how to get a job and places to look for them…but one thing that makes Workamper News stand out is the support that’s there.

When you get a job or even an interview through an advertiser at Workamper News - there’s this expectation and there’s already a relationship there.  You have this Employer who understands the value of Workamper News, and you do too.

I’ve looked at jobs various other ways and none of them have matched what we’ve found through Workamper News.

Joining Workamper.com has been the best decision I've ever made since beginning this new adventure in my life. Workamper.com is like the LinkedIn for Workamping, but so much more. For example, hands on stellar customer service and support. Invaluable job listing resources, educational video training, multiple community platforms to connect and learn from others who are fellow Workampers. The list goes on, I really can't speak highly enough about what a valuable one stop shop resource they are. Whether you are a first timer or have been at this for a while you will definitely find something to support your next amazing experience in the Workamper world.

- Workamper Kay M.

We posted our Awesome Applicants Resume about 8 or 10 days ago. TWO days later, we had our first amazing job offer. As of now, we are booked through January 2, 2022. Without Workamper News, this would have not been possible. Were we desperate to land a job? Absolutely not. The offers have come as a sweet surprise. Thank you, Workamper News.

- Workamper Gregory E.

Judy and I are about to leave Arrowhead Point in Buena Vista, CO. We accepted the position because it is about two hours from our daughter and her husband, we knew it would be cooler, and this was on our bucket list. I was surprised that we had so much to keep us busy. Maybe I thought – clean up the campsites, then wait to help people into the clean sites. Oh my, the owners, Joe and Cathy, really know how to run a good campground. Before long I was into finishing one chore and going on to the next chore, and a real variety, but it was making Arrowhead a better place to be at. Morning duties were work to get the campground tidied up for the next round of guests, and fulfilling just to have some constructive teamwork. Sort of like completing a day of yardwork at home and feeling good about what we accomplished. Then if I had the 3 to 8 pm shift, it felt good to serve others in getting into their site safely.

So thanks to all of you that worked so hard at the Workamper Rendezvous event last fall. Your work and just visiting with other experienced Workampers really turned us on to this lifestyle. Then working for Joe and Cathy was fantastic, and being a couple of hours away from our daughter was icing on the cake.

- Workamper Rex L.

Just wanted to reach out and say how much the information on the site has helped us as we move closer to our Workamper life.  We are still 6 mos to a year away, but getting there. We are so looking forward to it. We have talked about doing this our entire 30-plus years of marriage. Now we are putting the pieces together.  Just bought the truck; we need to haul a fifth wheel.  Slowly liquidating our 3,500 sq ft home, getting it ready to sell. I think our puppies are even excited about it once again. Please keep the info coming. Thank you!

- Dreamer Guy E.

Huge shout out to Workamper News! We finally decided which of three offers to accept for this winter! Thanks to the info & training we received at Rendezvous 2019, we are better equipped to seek & negotiate opportunities! We are both licensed security guards & will be providing evening security for a brand new gated RV Resort near the Superstition Mountains in Arizona.

- New Workamper Jennifer F.

Just a very brief note to tell you folks how great you are and what a wonderful service you provide to those of us who choose to be full-timers and do a little work!  I follow-up on each and every post you send out!  Some are ‘dream jobs’, and as you would expect, some aren’t really that great for me. So, here’s hoping that we find good spots for the Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer of 2021 through our participation with Workamper.com.  I’m on-the-hunt!  Y’all are just Super-Duper!  Keep up the excellent work that you do! BTW:  I am always referring you guys to other full-timers, or future full-timers, as the place to go to find the best spots!!

- Workamper Rick M.

I appreciate everything that you guys are doing for us.  I certainly didn’t expect this kind of attention for the small amount of money that we paid.  Very, very pleased with your organization.  We are working on Jeanne‘s resume.  Neither one of us need a monetary compensation for our work.  We will be looking for jobs similar to what we had last year at Yellowstone.  We would take that type of work for no compensation it was so wonderful.

- Workamper John B.

[Hotline ad was posted for about 2 hours.]  WOW!! We already have entertained 4 applicants!! And have hired our new Workamper! You guys are off-the-charts effective in what you do, and that is you make life so much easier for us!! Thank you SO MUCH!! Ya'll ROCK!!

- Employers Dann & Nora, Kings Road RV Park in Texas

Hello! I received your welcome card in the mail and wanted to say thank you! It was hand written, which feels like such a novelty these days (sad to say). I appreciate that. I'm so excited to have finally signed up and I really hope to be able to attend the rendezvous this year. As well as possible finding a job! Thank you for all your hard work!

- Workamper Karen A.

I've been receiving the helpful emails, following your Instagram account, listening to the Podcast, and following all the website info. You guys are a great resource! We are still in the dreaming phase...for now! All this information you provide, will surely move our timeline up!

- Dreamer Devyn A.

This has been, by far, the easiest website to maneuver that we've used. And I was talking to an employer about their side of it and he said the same thing.

- Workamper Amy W.

Thank you for all the information and resources you provide. My husband and I are trying to decide if/when we want to RV full-time. I’ve listened to your podcasts and always find some new information or insights that will help us make our decision.

- Future Workamper Megan R.

Planned, dreamed, researched and window-shopped for 3 years. Purchased our RV in July, sold our sticks & bricks and moved into our first park in Sept. Joined Workamper News 3 weeks ago. Utilized Resume Builder and a Facebook group, then sent out resumes 6 days ago. Had 4 interviews and job offers starting 3 days ago. Accepted the best fit for us yesterday and will soon be calling the Great Smokey Mountains our new home. What a great group of people in this lifestyle! So grateful for all of your posts and happy to be part of the family.

- New Workampers April & Mark

I just wanted to let you and the rest of the Workamper crew there in Heber Springs that I landed a job for next summer...will be working for the Fun Valley Family Resort in Southfork, CO...will be working from May till Sept-maybe Oct..so I just wanted to let you guys know what's been going on AND A BIG SHOUT-OUT to ALL of you there at the office for helping me with my resume and making me look good to perspective employers...to all of you and your staff, Merry Christmas!

- Workamper Bill M.

We LOVE WORKAMPER NEWS! We upgraded our membership to Diamond, filled out our resume and sent it that same day to a place we wanted to work. They called our current employers that evening and we had the job we applied for the next morning! Thanks again for providing this service.

- Workampers Ken and Mary Ann S.

I had a wonderful job-finding experience basically due to the training Workamper provided and the knowledge I gained. Once I applied that knowledge, I am proud to say I was hired for my first Workamping job starting in May after one month of utilizing the steps. Thank you for a wonderful organization that understands full-time RVing.

- Workamper Connie I.

We signed up with Workamper News for the first time, completed the Awesome Applicants Resume, and received a perfect job offer in the mountains of Colorado for the 2020 summer season. We are thrilled and looking forward to a great adventure starting May 1st. Thank you Workamper.com.

- Workamper Jim L.

Workamper News works!  I updated my resume 2x in last 2 weeks so it stayed near the top. Got a great, in writing, detailed job offer to work at a five star lodge on its own 10 acres just 14 miles from western gate of Glacier National Park! The owners also readily answered all my follow up questions, again in writing. I'm only on my third year fulltime. I did everything suggested by Workamper News.  I'm a single woman and hear always how tough it is to find good paying work in great places.  Second year in a row I've scored a great, season-long gig near a national park or national lakeshore destination...FHU of course, all hours paid for...free wifi and laundry...walk to work..everything I wanted and to see Glacier National Park too!

- Workamper Aleut T.

Just want to say thanks for the greeting card you sent. Very nice gesture! Really want to be at the Workamper Rendezvous, but just heard about it and not enough time to put together a travel plan. If I had heard about Workamper sooner I'd definitely be there. I'm retiring in a few months and hitting the road so I need to learn all that I can.

- Workamper David

What an amazing, personal follow-up it is for you all to send a hand-written card welcoming us into Workamper.com as Diamond Members!  That’s a super way to establish communication and to show that “you care” about us!  Wonderful idea!

We love the info you email to us and we are continually sharing the Workamper News with potential RV full-timers.

Keep up the good work…

- Workampers Rich n’ Marsha M.

After attending one of our Jobinars (webinar):

Just a quick note on the webinar. Very informative, answered a lot of my questions. You and your team always do a great job putting these things together.  We were wondering where we might want to go this summer. This webinar pushed Delaware North at Yellowstone to the top of our list.

- Workampers Skip & Mary H.

Workamper News has a lot of great information no matter your dream job, and information that can help you achieve your dream.

- Workamper Juanita C.

We have been using WORKAMPER NEWS for over ten years. We have gotten all our jobs from their ads. Thank you for doing such a great job for us!!

- Workamper Joanne M.

I had the free membership when I was researching. I got my RV and traveled for a while and then I wanted more stability. I upgraded to a paid membership and made a resume. It was so easy! It’s all laid out in easy steps. You get to pick what states you would like and if you want to just get hookups, or also get paid. I posted a free “situation wanted” ad and in days I had calls from several employers. I had so many offers that I got to pick the one that felt right for me. Now I’m living in a gorgeous campground in the Smoky Mountains and I have my dream job that never feels like “work”! I can not recommend them enough! This was the best membership I have ever paid for, by far!

- Workamper Jodi E.

This is a great way for people to find jobs while living in their RVs. We took this magazine for years before we retired and visited places we wanted to work after retirement!! We loved it!!

- Workamper Diane M.

It is getting more real every day! Today I picked up my used travel trailer from the local dealer. The orientation was much more overwhelming than expected, but I got it home and I am in my house eating ice cream and taking a break from reality...  Tomorrow I have my first Workamper phone interview with Xanterra, one of the concessionaires for national parks. (Making and sending a resume through Workamper News is one of the easiest parts of this process; thanks Workamper News!)

- (soon-to-be) Workamper Becky P.

Thank you, Workamper News, for our first campground host job! We did Amazon Camperforce last year and are signed up again this year. While visiting friends in Idaho, we updated our preferences and received an email about an immediate job opening!

- Workamper Bonnie C.

I'm thankful that when we decided to do this we weren't left to our own devices! :-) We had resources and help available to us!! I'm thankful we are able to be a part of this great organization helping us to do what we love!!

- Workamper Amy W.

Thank you AGAIN, to Workamper News, for our first campground host job at a National Forest in Idaho. My husband was skeptical, but after a month, our manager has asked us to come back next year and my husband has agreed! Yeah!

- Workamper Bonnie C.

My third week of my first Workamping experience has come to an end. Luckily, I have 5 more weeks!  I was hesitant as a single female to take on this challenge, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. I came in during the Fall shoulder season and am being a utility player, learning and working in a camp store, the "snack shack", and the office. All my colleagues have been extremely helpful and welcomed me into the campground family. I'm living in my 28' Class C without slides with no issues. My advice to others would be to take the risk...you'll never know if it's for you unless you try.  I'm thankful for every moment.

I am Workamping in Yellowstone National Park for 3 months with Delaware North Company in a General Store. I've had time to really discover the park and all its beauty that it would take years of coming here for a few days at a time. It has truly been a blessing. I have met a lot of wonderful people from all walks of life - young and old - that go from season to season doing all kinds of things.

What an excellent way for people to travel and is a second career for some.

I put a resume together after trying to find out what I really wanted to do. I was a nurse in the ER for a couple decades and am now enjoying the freedom that I've always set as my goal. Loved to travel, but not much opportunity for 20 years.

I was so busy with my career, raising my boys, and once the last son was graduating, I put the house up for sale. Bought our RV, flew from MN to CA and took a month coming back. I knew this was for me.

My employer actually found us via our Awesome Applicants Resume and sent me an email with an invitation to come join the resort they own in Kabetogama National Forest. We had about 20 other invites, but the others really didn't fit my idea of a good time. This couple has owned Northern Lights Resort 4 years now and have had many tough blows with weather, employees not showing up, and trying to maintain this beautiful resort. We made it here May 1 and today, it's still a good fit. The work is hard, however, we helped pull it all together with them and a second Workamper couple. The sunsets, family feel to the resort, and smiles on the guests' faces make all that work and effort seem like nothing. And the fishing...just saying.

I am 56 and hubby is 63. We sold our home and gave away most of our stuff one year ago. We have been Workamping since then. I haven't looked back. This gives us the freedom to travel the country and be with family that we wouldn't have been able to visit before. And the best part is I get to be with my grandchildren!  We have worked at 2 amusement parks. They are hard work, but I love it. I go to bed at night thanking God for guiding us to this lifestyle. Two years ago, we couldn't imagine we could pull it off, but we did! Don't wait 'till it is to late. Just do it! Join Workamper News and see all the opportunities out there.

My husband and I were Workampers for almost 20 years!! LOVED every minute of it!! We worked in some really great places and in some not so great places. We feel that some employers try to take advantage of the less expensive labor of a Workamper, because, let's face it, we don't do it to get rich in money. We did it to get rich with memories, and it worked!! We belonged to Workamper News most of that time, and NEVER had a problem finding a job anywhere we wanted to go. It is well worth the few $ it costs per year. Thank you Workamper News for all the wonderful memories!!!

- Workamper Beth

My husband and I were fulltime RV'ers for almost 6 years, and Workamped for 5 of those years, in multiple states for multiple employers. We had great experiences in some, and not so good experiences in others. Generally, the not so good experiences were primarily due to employers who said one thing, but did another and no amount of due diligence on our part would have changed how that works... people are, well, people. Overall, however, we thoroughly enjoyed the experiences because we met some fabulous people all across this country, and saw sights in areas we otherwise would not have seen due to "vacation" time constraints in normal work-related escapes. We were members of Workamper News and found the information they provided to be informative, educational and accurate. We worked the longest time period of about 8 months on one job, and the shortest of about 2 months in another. We really enjoyed the lifestyle, the friendships we made all over the country, and the benefit of supplemental income while still "playing" in areas of the USA we wanted to see and learn more about. Hope to renew our Workamping efforts in the coming year but even if not, will always be thankful for the experiences we have had so far. God bless you, Workampers everywhere!

As a former business owner, I know how quick people are to complain, but compliments are rare. So "we" wanted to take a moment to post a great big THANK YOU.

We have been exploring the idea of Workamping for a few years and we finally took the plunge. The information we received from your website gave us an incredible edge and a huge insight to the things to do and not do in virtually every area of preparing for this adventure.

The forums have provided valuable info on everything from purchasing our RV to creating a resume that would attract employers, to knowing what to reasonably expect from an employer, to what to watch out for from employers.....the list goes on and on. We purchased our rig in early March and using your site had several "good" job offers by the middle of March. We started the position we chose on April 1st. It's the perfect mix for us of hours, perks, pay and location. The info we received from Workamper.com was invaluable in knowing what to ask and what to say in our interview process.

We are loving our new lifestyle!!! Our only regret is not doing it sooner. So THANK YOU and keep up the good work. To those of you out there considering a Workamping life - read, read read. The site has so much info to help prepare you for a great experience and to help you make the right choices.

- Workamper Kevin S.

Thank you for posting the video of 'The Secrets to a Happy Workamping Experience' with Kevin and Dee.  It was a great source of advice and encouragement for people like us, infant Workampers!  Newly retired, we are getting ready to sail into a new horizon...Workamping!  We will be using WKN as a great resource for all the information we need to embark on our new adventure!  Thank you so much for this resource!!!!  It will be a huge blessing to so many people!  God bless WKN!

- Workamper Dreamers Dale & Donna

Just wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful education from your staff over the years. We have spent our first summer working at the Tall Texan Campground and RV Park in Gunnison, CO. Couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience. It all finally fell into place, after all the sweat and tears, and was worth it. Cindy's side-business is flourishing. You guys are the best!!  And we are looking forward to many more years of your guidance and support. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!  We love all of you guys!!  Say hi to everyone for us!

- Workampers Dave & Cindy

We are absolutely blown away with the success that we have attained via Workamper News! Within a week of putting our resume up on the Workamper.com website, we were offered full-time management positions in Texas, host positions at a National Park in Florida and 2017 seasonal positions at a beautiful RV resort in Virginia. Thanks guys, we couldn't have done it without you!

- Workamper Robert M.

(After a members-only Ask the Expert webinar with theTexas RV Professor)

VERY VERY impressed with Terry Cooper and the WKN team! Thanks. Informative, friendly, non-condescending, and well done from an IT perspective. This means a lot to us. Keep up the good work.

- Workampers Bruce and Christine

We subscribed long before we were able to become Workampers and got our first job out of the magazine back in 2010 (Crazy Horse Memorial, SD) We attended the very first Workamper Rendezvous event on our way out to SD in Spring 2011 and met folks there that we are still in touch with, learned a lot about what to expect as Workampers, and decided it was going to be a terrific experience. I've recommended Workamper News to dozens of fellow RV'rs, especially when they ask "How did you get the job that you're doing?" I believe there is no better resource to open more doors than WKN.

- Workamper Jim

We are new first-time Workampers who were concerned about getting a job for the winter.  We utilized your Awesome Applicants Resume Builder (in the spring), posted the resume on your website and emailed it to 12 campgrounds on Wednesday night who had advertised in your magazine or online. We received about 15 phone calls by the weekend and accepted our first Workamping position in AZ for the winter season on Sunday!  What a great service you provide; we received many compliments on the impressive resume.  Thanks so much for all you do.

- New Workampers Herb & Kathy

Joined as a Gold member yesterday, posted our Awesome Applicants Resume last night, woke up to multiple offers, accepted an offer in gorgeous Montana a little bit ago. This site really rocks. Thank you for making this so easy and for all the information! We are beyond excited about our new Workamping opportunity.

- Workamper Bethany

We did Workamping. Used Workamper News to find positions wherever we wanted to travel to: Minnesota, Maine, Texas, Alaska, New Mexico, Idaho - just to name a few. Sometimes we received our site and others we worked more hours for our site and pay. I call Workamper News the "Sears catalog" of fulltime RVing.

- Workamper Betty T.

Hi WKN staff,

Just wanted to say that Workamper News really works! As a new and solo RVer, I was pretty anxious about finding a job for the Spring-Fall 2016 season that would accept a single Workamper. After a successful stint at Amazon CamperForce that ended a few weeks ago, I was finally able to rest and catch up on paperwork, including sending out resumes for my next job.

One week ago on Friday I emailed 6 resumes in response to ads I'd saved from the Workamper Hotline. And today I received my 4th positive response! I accepted an offer for a paid position plus full hook-up site just outside of Yellowstone National Park, an area of the country I've always wanted to explore.

But the best part is knowing that when this assignment ends and I have one more Workamping job under my belt, there will be plenty of opportunities to choose from next year.

I appreciate having this service and will recommend it to others.

Warm regards,

- Workamper Lisa T.

I have sold Andersen's RV Park in Long Beach, WA.  Wanted to tell you all how much I have appreciated your help, patience, friendliness over the years (28 years for me).

Over the years, I hired lots of Workamper hosts.  I think I had about a 95% success rate.  Great folks...the people responsible for the wonderful
reviews the park got on Trip Advisor, etc.  You (Workamper News) have created and provide an excellent service for the campground/RVing world.

My thanks and best wishes to you ALL.

- Lorna, former RV park owner

I'm so pleased with the amount of information you share so freely.  It has given me a deeper sense of how to approach the entire situation [of recruiting Workampers].  You've given great advice, and we will follow it. I wanted to reach out and say thank you for really going the extra mile to help someone new at this.  It is very reassuring to know you are out there.

- Employer Nick, Johnson's Beach

(Less than 1 hour after the online Hotline ad was posted) The phone was ringing from the moment I talked with you.  Six applicants as of this moment.

(20 hours later) Oh my GOSH!  Response to the ad!  I have filled the positions and am being swamped on my email!  Can we shut it down?

- Employer Linda, Mustang Hollow Campground in Texas

Looks like that full page display ad in the magazine is really driving in applicants.  Just wanted to reach out and say thank you.  Workampers are such a huge part of what we do and you guys have been great to work with.

- Employer Colin, Cal-Am RV Resorts

Guess who got a job in less than 48 hours?! We did!

We think Workamper Discovery Days really prepared us for getting this job. The Employer had problems in the past with a couple quitting early on them and we were able to talk about the importance of commitment in a Workamper and such from your seminar. They are sending us a letter of agreement fashioned after the one on your website. And even though it happened so fast we were not able to fully use the Awesome Applicants Resume, we did fashion our resume after the sample you furnished. Just like you said in the seminars, we were honest about being full-time RVers for 5 weeks now, but conveying our enjoyment of people and the experience.

Thanks again guys,

- Workampers Bill & Mary Ann

Talk about quick action. We had applications coming in Thursday evening and hired a couple yesterday.

Thanks!

- Employer Rob, Bridge RV Park

(In reply to running a one week Hotline ad.)

Tom and I are now three weeks into our fulltime RV life and it is great! Tom retired from his job (and his 60+ mile commute each way) in the middle of April.  We updated our resume and started looking for positions on April 11th. Tom accepted a volunteer position in Georgia by the end of the month and we were on our way by Mother’s Day.  It all happened so fast! I still have my same fulltime job that I had back in Virginia. I am a RN and work from home/RV.

We had been dreaming of this for a number of years and attended the Rendezvous in 2012. I have to say we learned so much in those 3+ days that we had the tools needed to put this plan in place. We will be back to Rendezvous, October 2014.  Can’t wait, there is still a lot we can learn.

As it turns out Tom has now accepted his “dream position” at a shooting complex in Nevada for next April. Winter will be in Mission, TX.

Thank you so much for helping us make our dream come true!

- Workampers Tom & Linda

Thank you so much for your awesome assistance! I am continually impressed with the quality of the service you provide. We Workampers so appreciate the job search help that Workamper News offers.

As they say in Hawaii,  Mahalo Plenty!

Sincerely,

- Workamper Jennifer

Once again, we would like to thank you ALL for being there for us RV park owners by providing Workampers, plus incredible tools to help in this industry. Because of your company, we have three great Workampers for the summer ahead!

- Employers Peter & Dawn, GilGal Oasis RV Park

Thank you for the contact.  We DON'T need an ad this year because last year's ad got us great people that have been here all summer, AND another couple who saw last year's ad and have committed to us for next year.

- Employer Marilyn, Buffalo Rock Lodge

Thanks for the advertising reminder, but we are thrilled to have our wonderful Park Hosts coming back next year!!!  It is such a relief to have your service to provide a connection to exceptional people.  We will be installing another site in the next couple of years, and will be needing a third camp host then.  We will certainly advertise through Workamper News!

- Employer Julie, LCMC Office Manager

I love Workampers. They all have a great story to tell and the majority of them are great people. I owned an RV park in NM for 10 years and I always had at least two couples there all the time. They would stay for about 6 months and move on, and then some would come back and do another stint. I'm looking forward to my new hire. I have the one who worked for me last summer coming back. So I really only need one couple. Thanks for the good service.

- Employer Del

I placed my first ad for Workampers and I had over fifty calls. Ninety-eight percent of them were wonderfully qualified, so it was a very difficult choice to make. Thank you for the great services you provide.

- Employer Jeannie of Gran’ma’s Apple Pie

I have used Workamper News and loved it! It does the work for you. Can't wait to use it again when I'm ready to go Workamping again. Totally worth it!

- Workamper Kim

Great site for fulltimers, and those new & experienced to Workamping! This site has made our dreams come true!
